In 1969, DHL opened their firstSan FranciscoarriveHonoluluExpress shipping route, the company's name "DHL" is composed of the initials of the three founders' surnames (Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn). In the 3rd year since DHL was established, Hong Kong entrepreneurZhong PuyangBecause of work, I met Adrian Dalsey, one of the founders, and joined DHL in its founding. In 1972, DHL International (Hong Kong) was opened in Hong Kong under the name of DHL, responsible for international express delivery business outside the United States. Route expanded toHongkong,Japan,the Philippines,AustraliaandSingapore, and was the first in the industry to create the word "Express" in Chinese.[6]. In the mid-to-late 1970s, DHL expanded their routes toSouth America,middle EastRegion andAfrica.
In 1995, one of the founders, Hillblom, died in a plane crash, but the other partners did not have enough funds to take over his equity in 49%.[7]Since 2002,Germany postPurchased and controlled all its shares, and integrated its DHL, Danzas and European Express companies into the new DHL company. In 2003, Deutsche Post acquiredUSAAirborne Express and integrate it into DHL. In 2005, Deutsche Post acquiredU.K.Exel plc and integrate it into DHL. So far, DHL has one of the most complete transportation networks in the world, which can reach 120,000 destinations in 220 countries and regions.
On January 26, 2007, DHL announced the official launch of its domestic air cargo business in China.[8].

- DHL Central Asia Hub:lie inHongkong International AirportThe first phase of the airport express cargo center covering an area of 18,200 square meters was built by DHL International, a Hong Kong subsidiary of DHL, with an investment of US$100 million, and was officially put into operation on July 16, 2004. After the completion of the second and third phases of the project, the final processing capacity of the entire freight center can be increased to 900 tons of cargo per day, and the processing capacity of 20,000 cargoes per hour.[10]
