Recently, Aramex signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with DB Schenker, a German-based supply chain management and logistics service provider.
According to a joint statement issued by both parties, the agreement aims to drive supply chain synergies in key industries travelling to and from Abu Dhabi and the wider Middle East and Africa region.
Royal Logistics understands that Aramex will leverage DB Schenker’s freight forwarding experience across multiple global industries to further enhance its capabilities and service offering in the region, including but not limited to the aerospace, defense, infrastructure and healthcare industries.
DB Schenker will leverage Aramex's brand image, expertise and experience in the region to more fully expand its business in Abu Dhabi, a strategic trade and logistics hub in the Middle East and Africa.
Othman Aljeda, CEO of Aramex, said: “This is a very exciting strategic partnership that has the potential to unlock more value for existing customers while achieving the company’s commercialization and diversification goals. Over the years, Aramex has strategically been strengthening its core freight forwarding business through technology investments and expansion of its ground operations, gaining greater market share while improving service capabilities and diversifying its customer base by penetrating new industry verticals. The company will accelerate its freight forwarding business goals through a complementary partnership with DB Schenker. The alliance with DB Schenker will make Aramex a stronger and more competitive player in the ocean and air freight forwarding space in Abu Dhabi and other core markets.”
