Civil Aviation Resources Network reported on September 14, 2022: Typhoon No. 12 "Meihua" (strong typhoon level) is approaching, causing significant impacts on two airports in Shanghai, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Taizhou, Zhoushan, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nanjing and other airports.

China Eastern Airlines has decided to cancel 482 flights in and out of Hongqiao, Pudong, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and other airports from the 13th to the 15th.

It is reported that in order to ensure the mooring and transfer of aircraft, China Eastern Airlines arranged 137 aircraft to avoid the typhoon. Today, 115 aircraft will be moored at Pudong and Hongqiao airports.

Affected by Typhoon Meihua, the capacity of Shanghai Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will be greatly reduced on the 14th, and more than 50% of inbound and outbound flights will be reduced or cancelled. A total of 589 inbound and outbound flights will be cancelled at the two airports, including 322 at Pudong Airport and 267 at Hongqiao Airport.

Zhejiang Ningbo Airport, Zhoushan Airport and Taizhou Airport canceled all flights on September 14.

As of around 21:00 on the 13th, Hangzhou Airport had canceled 134 flights in the afternoon and night of the 14th; Wenzhou Airport canceled a total of 144 flights on the 14th, including 72 inbound and outbound flights.

For flights after the 14th, each airport will release relevant flight information to the public in a timely manner based on the changes in the typhoon situation.
