• If you are sending special categories of goods, such as food, cosmetics, and electronic products with built-in batteries, you need to go through special channels or postal services, and there is a chance that customs clearance will be inspected;
• Inflammable and explosive items, alcoholic and other prohibited items are prohibited from transportation;
• If the gift is fragile, there is a risk of it breaking during long-distance transportation, so it is best to reinforce the packaging before mailing.

Will it be taxed?

• It is recommended that the declared value should be lower than the tariff threshold.

  For example, Germany's customs is notoriously strict in the EU, and the chance of being taxed is quite high. Goods with a declared value exceeding 22 euros may be subject to customs duties.

• When sending a gift, although the recipient does not have to pay for it, your goods still have a certain value and must be declared.

• If the declared value does not appear to be correct, or you do not provide any value, Customs may determine the value for you.

Do I need an invoice to send a gift?

• Even low-value gifts require an invoice, and you will need to provide the actual value, a detailed description, and the reason for export - "gift." This way, customs know it is not a commercial shipment.

1. For packaging, it is recommended to seal the items as much as possible before delivery, and add foam bags and other appropriate protection. The price of international express delivery is calculated based on weight and volume weight. Reasonable arrangement of space and volume control can save a lot of money. Appropriate protection for long-distance transportation can prevent damage to the goods.

2. The recipient's information is very important. If the information is not detailed or incorrect, the courier will not be able to deliver the item to the recipient accurately and timely, or even cause the item to be sent to the wrong address. Note: For domestic courier, the address can be filled in entirely in Chinese, while for international courier, it is required to be filled in entirely in English.
