On December 14, the signing ceremony for the first phase of the container terminal project in the East Operation Area of Shenzhen Port Yantian Port was held.

According to reports, the Shenzhen Port Yantian Port East Operation Area Container Terminal Project (hereinafter referred to as the Yantian Port East Operation Area Project) has a total investment of about 10.9 billion yuan. It has been included in the National "14th Five-Year Plan", the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan and other important infrastructure projects. It is a key project of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, and will be built into a world-class smart green port area. The signing of this agreement marks that the project has entered the full-speed construction stage.

Yantian Port East International Container Terminal signed a project pre-loan agreement with a consortium of two banks for a total of 3.2 billion yuan.
The loan is led by ICBC Shenzhen Yantian Branch, with ICBC Shenzhen Yantian Branch and Agricultural Bank of China Shenzhen East Branch participating in the loan. It will provide sufficient momentum for the construction of the Yantian Port East Operation Area project.

The Yantian Port East Operation Area project will build three 200,000-ton automated container berths with a shoreline of 1,470 meters and a water depth of -18.0 meters at the front of the terminal, with a designed annual throughput capacity of 3 million standard containers.
This project will efficiently connect and coordinate operations with the Central and Western Port areas of Yantian Port, consolidate its position as the world's largest single container terminal, further enhance Yantian Port's operational capabilities, and become an important platform for Shenzhen to build a marine central city.
