Hello!
Starting from January 16, 2023, FedEx will implement the collection of additional handling service fees. When the medium-speed FedEx cargo uses SPOT heavy cargo special price and the cargo is shipped using the SPOT heavy cargo special price account, the corresponding AHS fee will be charged if the AHS fee standard mentioned in the article is met. The guidelines are as follows, and the PDF guidelines and identification and examples of non-standard packaging are attached for reference by provinces, cities and municipalities.
- Additional Service Fee - Size: This surcharge applies to any package with the longest side exceeding 121 cm; or any second longest side exceeding 76 cm; or the longest side and the girth of the remaining two sides exceeding 266 cm. RMB 195 per air waybill for International Priority Express (IPE), International Priority (IP) and International Economy (IE). If the oversized shipment charge has been applied to the shipment, the additional service fee will not apply;
- Additional Service Fee - Weight: This surcharge applies to any package weighing more than 31 kg. RMB 195 per air waybill for International Priority Express (IPE), International Priority Express (IP) and International Economy Express (IE);
- Additional Service Fee - Packaging: This surcharge applies to International Priority Express (IPE), International Priority (IP) and International Economy (IE) packages that meet any of the following conditions. RMB 195 per air waybill, including but not limited to the following:
- Not completely wrapped in a courier box;
- Wrapped in a non-corrugated express box, including but not limited to metal, wood, canvas, leather, hard plastic, soft plastic or foam
- Use stretch and shrink film to wrap express boxes;
- Mailing of round or cylindrical items, including but not limited to tubes, cans, barrels, rollers, tires, drums or pails
- The package is tied with metal, plastic or cloth; or the package contains wheels, casters, handles or ropes (such as bicycles) (including packages with loose or protruding outer surface packaging);
- May cause entanglement or damage other packages or the FedEx sorting system;
- FedEx reserves the right to charge additional handling charges for packages that require special handling or that require additional packaging by FedEx during shipment;
- Charging logic: If a shipment meets 2 or all 3 of the additional service fee criteria (size, weight and packaging) in Additional Service Fee 1.2.3, the higher one will be charged.
- Additional Service Fee - Heavy Freight: This surcharge applies to Heavy Freight service packages with the longest single side exceeding 157 cm. RMB 1,384 is charged per air waybill for International Priority Freight (IPF) and International Economy Freight (IEF).
- Oversized Shipment Charge: This surcharge applies to packages with the longest single side exceeding 243 cm, or the longest single side and the perimeter of the other two sides exceeding 330 cm. RMB 516 is charged for each air waybill.
- Charging logic: If the goods meet both size and oversized requirements, the oversized charge will apply.

- Additional Service Fee - Size: This surcharge applies to any package with the longest side exceeding 121 cm; or any second longest side exceeding 76 cm; or the longest side and the girth of the remaining two sides exceeding 266 cm. RMB 195 per air waybill for International Priority Express (IPE), International Priority (IP) and International Economy (IE). If the oversized shipment charge has been applied to the shipment, the additional service fee will not apply;
- Additional Service Fee - Weight: This surcharge applies to any package weighing more than 31 kg. RMB 195 per air waybill for International Priority Express (IPE), International Priority Express (IP) and International Economy Express (IE);
- Additional Service Fee - Packaging: This surcharge applies to International Priority Express (IPE), International Priority (IP) and International Economy (IE) packages that meet any of the following conditions. RMB 195 per air waybill, including but not limited to the following:
