UPS/FedEx/DHL and other express delivery companies adopt the "delivery first, settlement later" model, which means that the tax and other miscellaneous fee bills will be issued to the recipient only after the package is delivered. This model is applicable to all countries. Although this model is convenient for the recipient, it also brings some potential risks.
Possible scenarios
-
When shipping, choose to have the recipient pay for customs duties and other miscellaneous fees:
- There are cases where the recipient refuses to pay, the recipient is out of contact, or deliberately does not pay taxes and other fees incurred at the destination port. Once this happens, taxes and other miscellaneous fees will rebound to the sender.
-
The recipient fails to pay taxes and other fees in time after delivery is completed:
- If the recipient does not pay taxes and other miscellaneous fees in time after delivery is completed, these fees will also be rebound to the sender.
Our approach
If the above situation occurs, our company will unconditionally collect the full amount of taxes and other miscellaneous fees and handling fees from the sender according to the invoice. Please note that the collection period is not limited by time, and our company does not accept any form of appeal. Therefore, please pay attention to it and communicate with the sender and the recipient before shipping, the party responsible for the tariff and the payment method, so as to avoid subsequent risks and troubles.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
