Starting July 14, 2025, FedEx will charge a corresponding unconventional package surcharge or unconventional heavy cargo surcharge for all international shipments that exceed the maximum size and weight limits. The standard for "Additional Service Fee-Weight" will also be adjusted to 25 kg, and the existing standards for other additional service fees will remain unchanged for the time being.
Worth noting:
- If a package meets the conditions for multiple surcharges at the same time (such as non-conventional package surcharge, additional service fee-size, weight or oversized shipment surcharge), only the highest fee will be charged.
- If a package meets the criteria for both the Unconventional Package Surcharge and the Additional Service Fee - Packaging, both charges will be charged simultaneously.
- If a heavy cargo CTU meets the conditions of the Unconventional Heavy Cargo Surcharge, Additional Service Charge - Heavy Cargo or Non-Stackable Surcharge at the same time, only the highest of these charges will be charged.
All federal channels (FedEx channels) will implement this latest regulation within the CZL Express system starting June 26, 2025.
