Overview of the current border situation
- Polish portThe temporary closure of the border crossing previously caused a large number of vehicles to be stranded in queues. Although the border crossing has now reopened, the queue still stands at 3,100 vehicles, with daily traffic volume at only 300-400 vehicles.
- Latvian Port: There are about 810 vehicles queuing, and the daily passage volume is only about 50 vehicles, and the pressure of customs clearance remains high.
- Kazakhstan-Russia border: There are about 7,000 stranded vehicles, and the backlog problem is prominent.
- Kazakhstan's policy towards China: New regulations have been implemented for the vehicle number system, further affecting the overall logistics rhythm.
Time impact analysis
Due to the combined impact of these factors, transit times for vehicles using the Qatar Airways channel will be significantly extended. Even without having to wait for EU vehicles at the Belarusian border, overall transit times are expected to be 10-15 days longer than usual (excluding unexpected circumstances such as inspections, road closures, and customs closures). We recommend that customers plan their trips with ample buffer time.
