According to information from the Saudi government and DHL & UPS, providing a short address is now mandatory. If this short address is not provided, the Saudi government will impose a fine on each shipment. Furthermore, all shipments without a short address will be returned from Saudi Arabia, and a return-to-operation (RTO) fee will be charged.

In accordance with the latest regulatory requirements of the Saudi General Transport Authority (TGA), the Saudi national address system has been upgraded. To ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery of goods, shippers must pay attention to the following:
I. Policy Explanation
From January 1, 2026
All goods shipped to Saudi Arabia must provide [information/documentation].Correct recipient address short code.From December 29, 2025

II. What is an Address Short Code?
Address Short Code (SSC) is used by Saudi Post. SPL (Saudi Post) Officially issued address identification code:
With Saudi Arabia National Address Binding
Used to accurately locate the recipient address
The standard format is:
4 English letters + 4 numbers
Example:RRRD2929
III. Instructions for Filling Out Forms (Important)
When creating the order form, please fill in the address in the following order:
Address 1 (4-digit building number + street name) + Address 2 (additional number + area/suburb, optional) + Address 3 (short address AAAA9999)
