[Notice] Shanghai Port’s Luojing Container Terminal to Be Upgraded, with Annual Capacity of 2.6 Million TEU

The Municipal Development and Reform Commission announced that, to increase Shanghai Port’s container handling capacity and further strengthen Shanghai’s status as an international shipping center, the “Shanghai Port Luojing Port Area Container Terminal Reconstruction Phase I Project” has recently received project approval and is set to begin construction soon. Luojing Operation Area, Luojing Port Area, Shanghai Port, located in Luojing Town, Baoshan District.

Project Scale and Scope

The project will primarily convert the former Luojing Coal Terminal into a container terminal. It will include 1 100,000-ton container berth and 4 10,000-ton container berths, along with a container yard and various supporting facilities. The designed handling capacity is 2.6 million TEU per year.
