The movement of crew members on domestic vessels shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant epidemic prevention policies for the movement of personnel on land.
On December 12, the Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement. In order to conscientiously implement the work arrangements of the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council, further optimize and adjust the epidemic prevention and control measures for ships and crew members, it revised and formed the "Operational Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of the New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic for Ships and Crew (Twelfth Edition)".
The main revisions are as follows:
1. Cancel the inspection of health codes, itinerary codes and other information for boarding personnel. 2. The movement of crew members on domestic ships shall refer to the relevant epidemic prevention policies for the movement of land personnel. 3. Cancel the requirement for nucleic acid testing before crew members board ships and planes abroad. 4. Cancel the requirement for passengers on passenger ships to check health codes, itinerary cards and nucleic acid negative certificates before boarding. 5. Crew members with abnormal health during their stay on board and suspected COVID-19 infection shall be treated in accordance with the "Guidelines for Home Treatment of COVID-19 Infected Persons".
