Can MATSON undertake dangerous goods? What information should be submitted?

1. Please provide MSDS(MaterialSafetyandDataSheet) as an application condition,

   • For export from Shanghai, please send the MSDS to our customer service email
     arong@matson.com(Priority) or shcsr@matson.com.
   • For export to Ningbo, please send MSDS to:jzhang2@matson.com
     Email title format requirements: must include "Contract Number - Product Name - Application Date (i.e. the day the email is sent)".

2. Booking can be made after approval by our company (approval number must be noted when booking).

3. Fill in the application form after booking confirmationDCA(DangerousCargoApplicationSee the end of the article)andMDGF（MultimodalDangerousGoods FormSee the end of the article) and sign.
   Please submit to our company before 17:30 on Friday for export from Shanghai and before 12:00 on Friday for export from Ningbo

The form is required to be filled in English. (Note that item 9 of the MDGF form requires that the 24-hour emergency contact information must be authentic and valid. If this 24-hour emergency phone number is proven to be invalid or cannot be connected when needed, relevant fines will be incurred and relevant US legal responsibilities will be pursued.)

MATSON What is the deadline for dangerous goods declaration?

According to maritime regulations, the deadline for declaration is 24 hours before the ship arrives, and the deadline for declaration for our customers is:

What should I do if packing is not completed before the deadline for dangerous goods declaration?

After confirmation, as long as the customer's declaration data is confirmed and the box number is determined, the declaration can be made. The sealing information is not a necessary condition for declaration, and the packing can be arranged on weekends.

Requirements for packing dangerous goods and pictures of dangerous goods packing

Recommended useAmerican-style reinforcement, compact and space-free inside the box(If the empty space is fixed with fillers and reinforcement devices). Please take photos of the entire packing process (empty box/half box/full box/door sealed/and four-sided dangerous goods photos). Our company will review and approve the shipment after collecting all DCA/MDGF/and packing photos.

Note: Shanghai Dangerous Goods Warehouse can accept all containers with regular dangerous goods labels, including limited quantity labels.
