Local prosecutors said in a statement that 10 armed men entered the Port of San Antonio early that morning and, after attacking port workers, stole 13 containers, 12 of which contained copper plates.
According to police, the total value of the stolen goods is about $4.4 million. The video is currently being investigated, but no suspects have been detained. This incident is the largest copper robbery since a number of violent robberies occurred in northern Chile in October 2022.
