Effective December 26, 2021, rates on our services will increase by an average net of 2.8%, including a reduction in some peak surcharges.* This is one of the lowest net rate changes UPS has ever offered.
The increase in base freight rates and the reduction in routing surcharges allow us to provide excellent value to our customers. Additional new rate change information will be available for download on ups.com during the next quarter to help you plan for the coming year.
*The average net increase for 2.8% is measured based on the average value of all shippers in the markets where this increase applies. The impact of these changes on your shipping costs will depend on the characteristics of your shipment and the terms of your agreement with UPS. The average net increase for 2.8% consists of an increase in the base rate (which may be greater than 2.8%), combined with a reduction in certain applicable surcharges. The average net increase for 2.8% applies only to designated markets; for details on the rates that apply to your shipment, please refer to the appropriate UPS Rate and Service Guide at the time of shipping.
