From March 17, FedEx Abruptly Suspends Shipments to Saudi Arabia from Multiple Countries—Are Chinese Shippers Hit Hardest?
While Saudi camels are still racing across the desert, Chinese sellers’ cross-border parcels are stuck at the airport—talk about a logistics “surreal crossover.”
Effective immediately, FedEx has suspended courier services to Saudi Arabia from multiple locations worldwide. Chinese customers are among those hardest hit: all services from mainland China to Saudi Arabia have been fully suspended, and economy express services from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan have also been halted.

FedEx says it is urgently addressing the situation and advises cross-border sellers to temporarily switch to other shipping channels. One netizen joked: “Is Saudi Arabia closing its borders to courier services? Maybe they should just use camels—they might be faster than this.”
