DHL Surcharge Regulations 2025

This article describes the additional charges for DHL express services in remote areas, risk areas, data correction and additional operations. Remote area services include a delivery and pickup surcharge of RMB 4 per kilogram, with a minimum charge of RMB 172. In the security service, the surcharge for high-risk areas (such as Afghanistan, Lebanon, etc.) and restricted destinations (such as Iran, North Korea, etc.) is RMB 230. In terms of data correction, a surcharge of RMB 87 is required for an incorrect address, while a paper handwritten waybill is required to pay RMB 79. Additional operations involve surcharges for overweight (over 70 kg), overlength (over 100 cm on one side), unstackable pallets and unhandled goods, with specific charges of RMB 750, RMB 155, RMB 2,340 and RMB 155 respectively. All fees will take effect from January 1, 2025.

CZL Express opens international express aviation fuel interface API

DHL demand surcharge adjustment will start on September 15, 2024

To ensure operational stability during periods of high cargo demand,September 15, 2024 to January 31, 2025During this period, DHL will start to collect demand surcharge (formerly known as peak season surcharge).

The charge is calculated in RMB per kg (chargeable weight) based on the origin and destination of the goods. Fuel surcharge is applicable to this charge.

The amount of the charges and the applicable dates may change during the demand period. The demand period is defined by DHL at its sole discretion. Any changes will be notified in advance.

UPS peak surcharge adjustment on September 15 and 22

As the peak shipping season approaches, our goal is to ensure that your shipping needs are fully met while you continue to enjoy our timely, predictable, high-quality service. Due to the increase in transportation demand, we will continue to charge Peak Service Fees1 for some export and import shipments in the Asia-Pacific region. Fuel surcharges will also apply to this charge, which is charged based on the billable weight of the shipment. Starting September 22, 2024, UPS will adjust the Peak Service Fees for some shipments based on market conditions. See the table below for details. Please note that Peak Service Fees are subject to adjustment. Shippers should check the latest Peak Service Fees on the Regions and Rates page on UPS.com before shipping. The following are the applicable rates per kilogram:
