To ensure operational continuity during this period of high demand, we willThe demand surcharge will be charged from September 15, 2024 to January 31, 2025 (this is the estimated collection period. If there is any adjustment, it will be announced on the DHL Express official website 30 days in advance)The demand surcharge will apply to DHL's international time-definite express products (including Worldwide Express, 9am Express, 10:30am Express, Noon Express, Single-Daughter Express, Medical Express, and Easy Delivery Box).At that time, the customer's shipment will be subject to an additional demand surcharge based on the above period (including possible adjustments).

To ensure operational continuity during a period of high demand, we will be activating a Demand Surcharge effective 15 September 2024 until 31 January 2025 (This is the expected collection period. If there were any adjustments on such expected collection period, the advance 30 days' notice will be available on the DHL Express website). The Demand Surcharge will be levied on DHL Express Worldwide, DHL Express 12: 00, DHL Express 10:30, DHL Express 9:00, DHL Medical Express, DHL Breakbulk Express, DHL Express Easy shipments. Customers delivering the shipments during this above period and its adjustment (if any) will be deemed to accept the Demand Surcharge for the above period and its adjustment (if any).

During periods of high demand, freight volumes significantly exceed DHL's network capacity. In addition to this, global trade has become increasingly unpredictable, volatile and challenging in recent years. Demand surcharges allow us to allocate additional resources and capacity as needed to adapt to these global market dynamics, allowing us to continue to provide you and your customers with exceptional service during this time. At the same time, demand surcharges help us cover the costs associated with responding to these global market dynamics.

During periods of high demand, the shipment volume materially exceeds DHL's base level of network capacity. In addition to that, recent years have seen global trade becoming increasingly unpredictable, volatile and challenging. Introducing the Demand Surcharge allows us to allocate additional resource and capacity where needed to accommodate these global dynamics which enables us to continue delivering the excellent service to you and your customers during such periods. And the Demand Surcharge supports the recovery of the costs associated with managing a more dynamic global network.
